Nubar Purple Aster & Evil Angel nail art

Nubar Purple Aster from the Spring Garden collection is a sweet pastel purple creme with a subtle secret shimmer. I added a little nail art using some SmArt nails image design templates and a beautiful franken from Kae ( TheHungryAsian ) that she made just for little ol me! XD
Isn't that the sweetest thing ever?!
Look at EvilAngel close up....so pretty!
Thank you Kae!
This is 2 coats of Nubar Purple Aster and 1 coat of Evil Angel on the tips
The formula on Purple Aster is great! Very even, smooth and not streaky
Evil Angel is dreamy, I need to do a full manicure of it!
Love the teal, pink and purple in EA
What do you think of my night sky ocean?

Nubar Spring Garden Collection- Blue Hydrangea & Baby Sprout

I'm a day late but this is also my Autism awareness mani for this week
Blue Hydrangea is a soft pastel blue with a very subtle secret silver shimmer
Baby sprout is a super mutes pastel green also with a secret shimmer
In most pictures these will look like plain cremes but if you look closely and most definitely in person
you can see a very subtle silvery shimmer...if you aren't a shimmer person, these are the shimmers you could love!
I just had to do something fun with these so a color alternating freehand frenchy was obviously perfect
These are a bit thick...pastels are always either thick or thin.
I prefer thick as the coverage is better and more controlled application than thin and runny.
Both colors are 2 coats as a base and one on tips
Try not to notice my frenchy flaws...they were too fun for me to mind
Nubar really does some of the best pastels and these are no exception.
Dry time was much faster than I expected and the opacity is pastel perfect!

Nubar Spring Garden Collection- Honeysuckle Hotness

Nubars Spring Garden Collection is Hot Hot Hot
I immediately went for Honeysuckle because it is bright pinky and well do you know me?!
This is 2 coats of Honeysuckle with a thin coat of Top Beauty 3D Fireworks on my middle finger
(the 3D is from my beloved Sarah of Them Pretty colors)
This is in indirect light which softens it a bit
There was no sun to capture the awesome holo micro glitter in Fireworks :o(
I can assure you this color will be used a lot
The formula is a little thick but I added a few drops of thinner and it was perfect.
(Highly pigmented shades tend to goop up quickly due to the particle size of the mica)
Now if this doesn't scream spring at the top of it's lungs...nothing does!

Nicole by OPI Something about Spring manicure

Sorry I've been MIA
Between business, the Hot Guy's health decline and the kids sharing their germs....I am so far behind in everything! *sigh* But I'm doing my best to update as much as possible.

On to the pretties!
Pink Seriously and Shell me the truth
I'm so ready for spring and this collection screams Spring Me!
What is more spring than Hot Pink and shimmering golden pink?
You all know I heart you....with a cherry on top!
I used 2 coats of Pink Seriously and on all but my ring finger, one coat of Shell me the truth
I love how this turned out.....might even be my next pedicure
Both applied wonderfully with no issues
Mmmmmmm.......golden shimmers!
I do have thumbs and this one demanded to wear Shell me the truth alone
3 coats and so beautiful!
This manicure certainly cheered me up, I hope it did you too!

China Glaze Tronica- Gamer Glam & Hyper Haute

At first I wasn't going to get any of the Tronica collection but I decided
to see them in person before making up my mind.
The Tronica's are not nearly as holo or the type of holo as the OMG's or even Kaleidoscope but I decided that if I liked them in the store without the holo effect then I would get a couple....I ended up getting 4
Gamer Glam is more holo than Hyper Haute but I like the holo because it looks to be a silver and pink holo in the purple base which makes it worth owning for me at least.
These are very sheer and require 4 coats or layering over an opaque color.

Oh the little knife? I just pulled that out of my back and found it to look quite cute on my nails

Stabby, stabby
You can see the pink on my index finger here
You said you wanted more pictures....
All pictures are in lightbox lighting as the sun has been hiding

I like these holo or not so I'm happy that I gave them a chance
All in all I like these and I will wear the colors that I bought
Do I recommend running out and grabbing them up? Only if you missed the OMG's and or Kaleidoscope collections, otherwise I suggest seeing them in person to decide if you love them or not.

P.S. To those who stuck that little knife in my back....jokes on you.....I like shiny pointy things!

OPI Texas Collection- Austin-tatios Turquoise

I lived in Austin for a couple of years but I won't hold that against this color! :o)
*Waves at Oldest daughter and Son in law still living there*

In the bottle this color is gorgeous...a shimmering turquoise with lots of blue
On the nail it is a greener teal with blue shimmer
It is also verrrrry sheer which disappointed me
All of these pictures are 3 coats with a definite need for a 4th
Application was fine, though it is a bit runny so I had to be cautious to avoid pooling at the cuticles while trying to get enough color to get some coverage.

If you love turquoise/teal then this color is likely worth the extra effort and coats needed.

OPI Texas Collection- Houston we have a Purple

Houston we have a Purple is more of a raspberry jelly than actually purple but it's gorgeous no matter!
Notice that this one is more opaque than most jellies
It still required 3 coats, as do most jellies in my opinion
I love that this has the squishy jelly texture but almost no VNL
Houston is a bit more pigmented but the formula is not too thick and not runny so it applies very smooth
If you only get one from the jellies out of this collection....this is the one you need!
I actually wore this for 3 days (totally unheard of for me to wear anything more than 24 hours)
It made me feel like my nails were dipped in hard candy or stained glass!
Shiny, gorgeous and sweet!
