Vieux Carre OPI - A French Quarter for your thoughts

Vieux Carre  is creole, it means the old quarter (referring to the French Quarter)
Hubby being a NOLA boy reacted to the color with "why is it gray". lol
If you've ever been to New Orleans Louisiana then you know why
he found it odd, all of New Orleans is so full of color it's almost too much, but not.
I think it's intended more to be the beautiful old stone work buildings and the famous cemeteries that
this color is representing. I like it no matter.
French Quarter for your thoughts is a nice granite gray creme from the OPI touring America collection

And when I mentioned the French Quarter Hello Kitty insisted on coming along
( the fabulous HK decals were sent to me by my sweetheart Jerlene aka MusicalHouses from a funtabulous Blog- Of Faces and Fingers )
And to compliment HK I took a tiny bit of clear polish in a mixing cup and added a tiny bit of my Beach Party eyeshadow and did the very tips plus my ring finger over FQfyT.
The formula is very nice and smooth with good pigment so it is very nearly opaque on the first coat
I can't say that this is unique but if you are looking for a nice gray I would recommend picking this up because the formula is a bit better than several grays I have.
Thank you Jerlene for the Hello Kitty decals, they are almost as adorable and sweet as you!

Do we have our favorites from this collection yet? I have a couple but I'm not absolute on my must haves yet.

OPI Katy Perry part 1 Swatches and review

I know it's a small collection but I'm doing this in 2 parts because
I really like the colors and so traditional swatching isn't going to work when I really want to just do a full manicure and enjoy them.

So on to the pretties...
Not like the Movies is a pale purple to gray to green multi chrome with silver scattered shimmer
This is 2 coats with top coat in lightbox lighting
The formula is good slightly sheer but not bad.
I love the very obvious flashes in this one

Last Friday Night is a blue jelly base with multi blue chunky glitter
This is 2 coats except on the pinky which is 1 coat layered over a random franken
(Looooook at those sparklies)

The formula is great on this and I love that the base actually hold it's color so you can easily wear it alone.
It's not so chunky that you get gravel nail, one coat of Seche Vite and I could not feel andy bumps at all.
I think this is my new favorite glitter!

Barielle Holiday Hustle Swatches Winter 2010

Iwas sent the Barielle Holday Hustle collection....I love it!
Barielle has a great way of avoiding the typical so again they make me so very happy!

All swatches are 2 coats no top coat, in lightbox lighting.
Gelt me to the Party is an antiqued Copper/bronze/gold
I really wish this looked better on me because I love the color a lot!

Coalest day of the year is a dark gray almost black with pearl shimmer!
I think this color is beautiful.

Jess' Champagne Toast is a metallic lilac/violet with pink micro glitter
You all know I love a contrasting glitter/shimmer and this one grabbed me immediately!

Barielle calls Snow Day metallic with silver undertones.
On me it looks like a slightly blued metallic green with silver hues. Now we all know that colors can sometimes catch the skin tones and look a bit different on different people.

Wrap me in ribbon is a metallic raspberry and a surprize love.
I am shocked but I really love this color.

Elle's Spell.....drooooool.....stare......drool
As you can tell I swatched this a week ago, when I lost my claws, to cheer me up and it worked so well that I wore it for 3 days. (That says a lot)  Elle's Spell is a beautiful red jelly with opal flakies that shift from firey orange, gold to green and occasional blue flash.

I will leave you to drool!

Grey sky got cheered up with a Night Party!

I don't do taupe but H&M Grey Sky from the good package Feline sent
is so pretty in the bottle that I couldn't resist. I put it on with an accent nail of Quick & Chic Night Party, also from Feline. Then I realized that taupe almost blends into my skin tone, not manikin hands style but matchy. So I amped it up with Nfu-oh 50 and Happy Joy!
Grey sky which is not grey at all but a very nice taupe with subtle shimmer.

Night party, 2 coats, on ring finger....cuz I can!
It's like Merry Midnight only not vomit looking.

Nfu-oh 50 gives this just the right WOW factor!

Love these Feline...you rock!

OPI swiss Collection Fall 2010 Part 2 the Shimmers

I can't even say how awesome these colors are so I'll let the pictures say it all.
Glitzerland is my least favorite but only because gold does not look good on me.
This is 2 coats with great application.

The Color to Watch makes me drool!
A complex purple with lighter purple shimmer it almost shifts blue.
3 coats but very worth it!

Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous is a sweet gunmetal foil.
3 coats and so pretty!

Diva of Geneva oh how I love you!
The sexiest wine shimmer ever!
2 coats of perfect!

I am so   Cuckoo for this Color!
The Hot Guy loves this one a lot!
Beautiful Emerald green with blueish green shimmer.
2 coats!

Yodel me on my Cell is hot!
Light/medium cobalt blue with silvery blue shimmer.
3 coats and so pretty!

I absolutly LOVE this collection! OPI get's a standing, lighters up, ovation!

Lily has amazing timing & Thrisza is my Inglot angel!

Everyone knows that this past week has been extremely stressful
and flat out craptasticlysucklios!

Today I managed to convince the web host that sucked to give me my money back and release my domain.
(OK so I bitched then out and threatened to post their name on my blog, twitter, myspace, scream it from the mountain tops, file a complaint with BBB and I did write an email to the owner directly)

With all of that somehow Lilynail
somehow managed to perfectly time this little surprise package of joy!
This is a true RAOK (random act of kindness) and I appreciate it more than words can express!
I needed some cheering up and this did the trick!
I'm sorry it's late and I forgot to write down the names so I will add them tomorrow.
(there was a casualty that did not survive and I haven't had a chance to clean these up yet)

Why yes that is a gorgeous silver holo and YAY another H&M HK!

Jack Skelington nail decals (you know I adore jack) some wicked coral/orange Sephora nail patches, Hello Kitty lip gloss that smells so yum, a sample of Lush I think it's lemony flutter or whatever it's called.
Lily also set the beautiful Zen card (I so need some Zen) several other fabulous nail decals the beautiful gloss' at each end and some fabulous candy which my children devoured, but not the chocolates....those are MINE!
Thank you so very much Lily, you made my day! ((hugs))

Part 2 of my cheer up

I did a swap with the gorgeous Thriszha of Fab UR Nails
Part of that was my very first Inglot #342 and it is beautiful!
I used it for the first time lastnight when I decided to do a statement mani for that back biting host that we'll not mention. I used my gorgeous Inglot 342 and OPI Brand New Skates (a gift from my little Ange).

I'm playing with my MIL's OTT lamp to see if I want one or not.

All of the pictures in this post are taken in OTT light in my lightbox.
They are very color acurate...even the purples are dead on.

But my skin looks odd, washed out, strange.
What to you think of these pictures vs my regular pics?
Do you see a difference? Which do you like better and why?

Thank you to all of you my readers and friends! I appreciate your support and kind words this past week!
Extra snugglies and smooches for you all!

Rain and Magic Stars

I really love Eyeko Rain and I wanted to wear it a second day but
Well my nail polish attention span is about the same as a 15 year olds Math attention span.
So to respark it a bit I added a coat of GOSH Magic Star and walla....gorgeousness all over again!

I love this combo
What comes after the rain?
Rainbowy goodness!

What do you do revamp a mani?

Zoya Wonderful

Zoya's Wicked and Wonderful collection

These are the 6 Wonderful shades.
All vampy fall cremes

Shawn is a great dark olive green.

Cola is a fun deep brick red creme.

Kristi is a sweet pink toned red.

Burke is a great deep rose.

Stacy is a yummy wine creme.

Kelly is a dark blue based gray creme.

All were opaque in 2 thin coats. The formula is very nice as usual with Zoya.
You can find this collection here
I really love the contrast in Wicked and Wonderful!

Eyeko Saucy and Rain swatches

These are my first Eyeko polish's and I love them soooo much!
The formula was very nice, the brush is not too wide or too thin and the colors are very pigmented.

Rain Polish
For City Nails
A soft light gray with a subtle shimmer.

This is 2 coats with no base or top coat.

Saucy Polish
For Naughty Nails

A perfect Tobasco red. This is one coat, yes I said 1 coat.
(Thank you Eyeko for making a polish just for me)

Why yes my nails are naughty!
Aren't the labels adorable?

Well now that I'm in love with Eyeko do you have any color reccomendations?

I'm Baty for Jitterbug! China Glaze Vintage Vixen preview

I will be swatching the Vintage Vixen collection soon.
I just really feel that they need proper sunlight so I hope for good sunlight tomorrow.

Today I just could not resist Jitterbug.
A dark Gunmetal foil.

This is 2 coats taken in my lightbox.

I have been a little Baty the past few days so I thought my nails should reflect it.
I used BM plate 13 and Wet n Wild black creme.

Aren't they cute!

I love this image stamp. I just need a little foggy moon image to complete the look.
