Milani 3D Hi-Tech

Here is my NOTD from yesterday:
Milani 3D holographic in Hi-Tech.
This is a bright lime green that leans a little yellow. Like the other Milani holos this is more holo in indoor lighting than outdoors/ But for the life of me this one did not feel like showing off it's holo beauty.
This is 2 coats on Hi-Tech with one coat of Seche Vite

Then just for fun I decided to add a little fauxnad. I used fauxnad image plate H23 and Color Club Revvvolution. Images like this work well for me as I can easily double or triple stamp to cover the length of my nails without having any issues with them aligning.

Chris says it looks like an alien vine attacked my nails.

This was a fun mani and a fun fauxnad which is what I really needed...a little pointless fun!

Color Club Rebel Debutante Preview & swatches Part I

Rebel Debutante is a 9 color collection with 3 coordinating lip gloss' from Color Club.

The collection as described by Color Club:
"Rebellious shades that go from classic to trendy"
"It's a new spin on classic color! It's made for the girl who likes the finer things."
I have the first 4 more neutral shades today for you.

Who are you wearing?

This color is difficult to describe, it is certainly not white or even off white. It's slightly taupe but not truly. My best description whould be a smokey taupe/white creme.
I am not a neutral kind of girl but surprisingly I like this. It's such an unusual shade that I find it much more interesting than typical neutrals. It was slightly sheer so this is 4 coats. Application is smooth and quite the normal high quality that I'm used to from Color Club.

High Society

A lovely light taupe creme. This does not lean to far warm or cool so I believe it would suit most skin tones easily. Application was very smooth with just 2 coats to a nice even opaque.

Beast Dressed List

A slightly brown tinted beige. This leans a little more warm as you can tell by how red my fingers look.
Very smooth even application despite my hurried application. Opaque in two coats.

Charity Ball

Terracotta very simply put. This looks aweful on me and is not a color I would choose for myself.
It's an orange based terracotta. Smooth application, actually this was the smoothest and most opaque of these 4. Nearly opaque on the first coat but not enough for my satisfaction.

In general my opinion is that these first four shades of the collection are great neutral/safe colors.
So if you are looking for work safe colors or some neutrals that are a little more trendy these are perfect.

The products reviewed were sent to me by the company for review.
The opinions are my honest opinions and are in no manner swayed by the reciept of samples.

Milani Neon: Dude Blue

I have to get more of these!
This is one coat of Milani Dude blue plus one coat of Seche Vite.
The application was easy, no clean up even. Much thicker than most neons, more like a creme.
My favorite part is that this does not dry matte like most neons.
The pigment is very strong. This color is a beautiful pool blue.
I love that the polish is identicle to the bottle color.

I will be tracking down more of these.

Evil Shades LE nail polish Rainbow in the dark

I promised when I discontinued my Evil Shades nail polish that I would have
Limited Edition polishes from time to time. Well TIME!
I've been working on this one for a while and it finally came together for me. Yes!

This one is actually very near and dear to my heart and is not only an LE but more importantly a tribute
to one of my life long musical influences, Mr. Ronnie James Dio. My Daddy introduced me to Dio via Elf and Black Sabbath and then together we listened through decades of Dio, wearing out many a vinyl LP and a few CD's. My Dad used to play one song in particular for me "Rainbow in the dark".
This became my hope song and to this day it can easily lift my spirits. I demanded that it be played at my Daddy's funeral because it truly suited him. No matter how shitty your day my Daddy could make you laugh till you wee'd, usually by singing some ridiculous made up song, very badly, loud and off key!
I know it maybe odd to tribute someone via nail polish but hey I am odd
and my cosmetics are my creative outlet. I hate the idea of waiting until someone has passed to pay tribute. I know that Dio will never know about my little tribute but I will and I'll always have my bottle of polish to remind me.

Rainbow in the dark is a semi sheer black base with, you guessed it, a mega
shit ton of rainbow shimmer that burst from the darkness. Why did I make it semi sheer? First to allow the rainbow to shine through and secondly because I love to layer. Now this is totaly opaque in 3 coats so it can easily be worn alone as well. The "rainbow" really errupts out of the darkness of the black base in bursts of red, blue, green, purple, silver, pink and a touch of yellow/gold.

What do you think?

Milani 3D Holographic Hi-Res and a pedi for my hubby

I got a couple of Milani 3D's in the mail the other day...because I can't find them here. :(
These are more like the Kaleidascopes than the OMG's. They are a chunkier holo but still feel smooth. What is really odd but very cool is that they are more holo indoors than out. The opposite of all of my other holos. I love this since it's cold and rainy outside. lol They are more sheer than most holos but well worth the 3rd coat.

This is what they look like outside.

Holo hotness

What an odd pose.lol

This is how the holo looks in the regular craptastic lighting of my room.

I did a special pedicure for Chris. The New Orleans Saints are playing tonight and he has been waiting 38 years for them to go to the Super bowl. I am not a sports fan but I am a big fan of whatever makes Chris happy so here is my Saints Game Day Pedi....Chubby toes ahead.....

I used Man Glaze Matte is murder as my base, then a coat of $OPI Worth my weight gold holo glitter and Fluer de lis decals. Go Saints!!!
