OPI has got THE Blues

I had the urge for blue the other day so I grabbed
Nicole by OPI It's not me it's Blue and OPI Road house Blues from the Touring America Collection
I was feeling polk a doty so I played with contrasting dots on all my fingers
I just used my smallest dotting tool and got a little random
Hmmmm....My ring finger has dots of It's not me it's blue all the way up the outer side but the lighting makes it hard to tel. :o(
I love how this turned out, it's subtle but fun
Road House Blues is a beautiful deep blue cream and It's not me it's blue looks purple in the bottle but once on the nail you see the blue base with silver and pink metallic shimmer. Both are gorgeous and great formula's
I think these two blues are perfect together.
You can't possibly feel blue wearing these!
P.S. Just a note to say when I removed this I had NO smurf murder hands and not a bit of staining!

Nicole by OPI Something about Spring manicure

Sorry I've been MIA
Between business, the Hot Guy's health decline and the kids sharing their germs....I am so far behind in everything! *sigh* But I'm doing my best to update as much as possible.

On to the pretties!
Pink Seriously and Shell me the truth
I'm so ready for spring and this collection screams Spring Me!
What is more spring than Hot Pink and shimmering golden pink?
You all know I heart you....with a cherry on top!
I used 2 coats of Pink Seriously and on all but my ring finger, one coat of Shell me the truth
I love how this turned out.....might even be my next pedicure
Both applied wonderfully with no issues
Mmmmmmm.......golden shimmers!
I do have thumbs and this one demanded to wear Shell me the truth alone
3 coats and so beautiful!
This manicure certainly cheered me up, I hope it did you too!

I am "Rich in Spirit" Nicole by OPI Liquid metal collection

I love everything about this polish!
The name suits me...I am Rich in so many ways except the monies! :o)
I love the metallic foil blue, the short slightly wide rounded brush...I love it so much that I don't even mind that it is slightly sheer and requires 3 coats...it's worth it!
Rich in Spirit Nicole by OPI
I needed something beautiful to look at after a very unpleasant day and with a name like that and the calming blue...this was the only choice!
I stamped over it with BM20 plate and a random navy pearl polish
I absolutely love this pattern!
And just so you don't wonder...I do have 2 hands though due to nerve damage in my left hand it is very hard for me to get a decent picture of my right but I think this is pretty OK.

So far I am really loving the Liquid Metal collection!

Nicole by OPI Miss Independent liquid metal collection

A pink metallic/foil polish? Oh yes!
Miss Independent is a light pink metallic foil, a little sheer so 3 coats is best but not brushstrokey and most important not hard to remove like some metallic/foil colors are.
I did a real foil application on my ring finger using a raindrop foil pattern I got from
dollarnailart this past spring
I'm not usually big on foil or metallic finish, mainly because they remove like glitter and the brushstroke look isn't my favorite but this is a different story. Application was very good, formula is great, and I like the color bonus it removed as easy as a creme! YAY!

Nicole by OPI Walmart Exclusives swatches/review

Nicole by OPI's descriptions:

Count On Me
This glimmering lavender will never let you down.

Got Style?
Mauve has never looked this chic!

He’s A Keeper
This classic red is one of the good guys.

Never Give Up
Hold onto gorgeous color with this persistent plum.

Count on Me is a sheer lavander with sparks of purple shimmer.
I love this color and I will be using it for layering a lot!

Got style,to me, looks more like a shimmery copper rose shade and surprisingly I really like it!

He's a Keeper is a slightly warm toned classic red creme

Never give up is a beautiful sassy fushia with scattered holo glitter.
Think Claire's MegPeg all grown up.

All swatches are 2 coats with no top coat. Pictures taken with lightbox lighting.

My opinion:
I was pleasantly surprised to fall in love with 3 of the 4 colors.
Sorry but I have 100 or so "Classic reds" so for a red to wow me takes a lot.
Formula is great, very smooth and easy to apply.
The bottles is a bit akward but very cute.
The brush shape is great and makes a nice clean line on my tiny narrow nails very easy. It's a little short but that was not a problem.

Do you see any that you NEED?

Nicole by OPI holiday collection swatches

Nicole by OPI has put out 4 "Holiday" shades for 2010
Bring on the Tinsel is traditional holiday multi glitter in a clear base. Silver is the base glitter with lots of Red, green and a touch of blue and gold. This is 2 coats. I'm sure it could be opaque at 3-4 coats if you prefer it alone and not layered.
Stuck in the Chimney is a pink/red with subtle gold shimmer.
2 coats
Kiss me at Midnight is not as brown as it looks in the picture. It is a brown toned deep wine with pink/red shimmer. 2 coats.
**Correction** I originally called this a black jelly base and was thinking of a different polish.
(Swatched over Kiss me at Midnight)
Spark my Mistletoe is a clear base with tons of red glitter and a dash of silver hex glitter.
2 coats This is a bit too sparse to go alone, in my opinion, it would take 4+ coats to get opaque.

I am in a place of introverted thought at current so I apologize for there being few words in this post.
