This is a gorgeous shade from OPI's Touring America Fall 2011 collection
I know most people describe it as a berry, or wine and in the bottle it kind of is...on me it's a gorgeous red that when the light hits the fuchsia shimmer turns to a lovely red wine shade.
See now it looks more wine toned and the hidden shimmer peeks out
I added a little of the mylar flaky glitter from Born Pretty Store to my ring finger
I just sprinkled it over while my top coat was wet and then added another coat.
You can find the flakies here
The formula was OPI's normal perfectly smooth applying and opaque in 2 coats formula
I wish the sun had been out so I could better show of the hidden shimmer
For me this is a perfectly fun red and I kind of like that it looks different on my skin tone.

I agree, in the bottle it looks more wine, but on the nail its pure red gorgeousness!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat red is gorgeous! Funny you posted it, as I was just thinking of how I wanted a nice red manicure. You inspired me!
ReplyDeleteAlways such a beautiful shade. I always want them. Your nails look lovely especially with those flakies.
ReplyDeleteThey have a Maine one and it's lobster themed. I pretty much lost it when I saw it, but haven't tried it yet. I *might* have to pick one up because of the theme and being a Mainah. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou paint your nails very cleanly. I'm jealous! :)
Think this is super pretty.. BUT I can imagine it does some horrible staining on the nails, even with a basecoat :(
ReplyDeleteI am a red-a-holic and this one is going to be coming home with me when this collection finally hits my area for release. All in all I am not fond of many shades in this collection. I like this one and the Address is Hollywood but someone said it was a dupe with a tish less shimmer than Essie's Your Hut Or Mine? I love the latter so why would I want another? Just not thrilled with the bottle shots - but as I see more of the swatches like yours here, I might be picking up a few more...mostly thinking not however.
ReplyDeleteSO pretty, I love this red. I also love how you always do an accent nail! I am going to try that one day...
ReplyDeleteThe flakie glitter is a cute accent :)
