I am so annoyed with the lack of sunshine!
It really makes it hard to get decent pictures that show the dimention of this but Father Sun is hiding out!
I used a base of Finger Paints Icy Iris, a beautiful deep purple with fushia shimmer.
3 coats because I'm OCD like that. Great application, smooth and very even.
I love the look of the full nail images but my nails are way too long so I took matters into my own hands.
I used Color Club Fashion Addict and Konad Image plate m40 and stamped repeatedly in different directions and angles to cover the nail a get that pretty wrapping paper/ Brocade velvet look.
I am so glad I splurged and bought Icy Iris, it looks almost glass flecked in some light.
i love it!
LOVE this mani! and I just want to say you are my new favorite person EVER for emoticon "rock-on'ing" me. best.blog.comment.EVER

ReplyDeleteOh, yeah! I love what you did with it, it's freaking GORGEOUS with the konad over it! I picked this one up too, i have a weakness for purples anyway, and it's a beautiful color, you definitely achieved that "brocade" look you were going for!

ReplyDeleteIt looks so great on you! I can tell that Konading your nails is very time consuming since they're so long. Great job!
ReplyDeletegildedangel- Thank You!
ReplyDeleteBloodyLipstick- Surprisingly it doesn't take too long. Probably longer than those with short to average length but not bad.
Icy Iris is a gorgeous color...I bought it too :)
ReplyDeleteThis mani looks mega awesome, and I *love* the way you used the Konad stamp!
Lisa- I think it's one of those must have colors!
ReplyDeleteUs long tiped ladies have to be a little inventive with out konading. lol
Are you listening Konad??? We want full nail plates and stampers for loooooong nails!!! lol
I also want the minds at Konad to invent a stamper for curved nail beds! You did such beautiful stamping even without such inventions.
