A little Techie help *bats eye lashes*

So it's been driving me nuts that I can't use imbedded comments through blogger.
(It doesn't work for me and they won't fix it)
Is there a comment widget or something that I can add to my layout that will be embedded below each post, preferably one that allows replies to each individual comment?
Any help would be greatly appreciated and you will forever be my Techie hero! :)

  2. Go to your settings - comment section. There you can choose to display comments in new window or below your post... Check the box ''embedded below the post'' something like that...
If this doesn't work, go to js-kit and install their comment box.
Just one more thing. I'm not into computers and I don't really know if this will work. Don't crucify me!

  3. I think that is part of what Google is trying to create with Google Wave, but it has not been released yet. I can't wait for that system to be released!

I hope you are having a great day!

  4. Sasha- My embedded doesn't work unfortunatly. Does js-kit charge for their comment box?

cmp381- Google needs to hurry up!

  5. The js-kit costs $12 a year but I think it's totally worth it!
I love it on nihrida's blog and it was one of the first things I added to my own blog when I started it.

I love the fact that anyone can reply to each others posts. It's much more interactive that way.

I hope if you install it you share your feedback with us, I will try to add this 'echo' comment thing after Christmas

  12. I could have written this post myself! I think the term is "threaded comments". I have seen some tutorials where you change the HTML coding to make it work. I haven't done enough research yet to settle on one tutorial. It's on my to do list. :)

  13. @nihrida: I have no idea. I couldn't get it on my blog without the $12 fee but as I said, I think it's worth it. Maybe you got there before they started charging for it?

Well either that or I'm stupid and didn't notice some free option which is entirely feasible. lol

  14. Thank You everyone!
The Js kit I might do if I can't find a free alternative, cuz as you know I'm cheap! :)

I'm going to go reasearch "threaded comments" (Thanks Diana).
If I find anything useable I will post the link for you all.

  15. I have heard roundabout that everyone cannot reply to us using the blogger system, so I've been curious about finding another free system that works alright and is EASY to install, and free, for blogger myself!
And too, I'd love to be able to reply to everyone individually that would be neat, huh? I hope you find something that works for you! ♥
