All the Beautiful people

New Haircut & desperate need to redo my color

I have a fabulous hair designer, Elaine, she rocks!
I have been so busy that I hadn't had a haircut in almost 2 months so I was looking a curly, shaggy mess!
This was my last hair cut...
I loved it but I'm so busy and summer is coming & I don't feel like trying to look semi normal to appease others anymore so this time Elaine and I designed a fun, funky and totally me cut.
So do you wanna see?

I love you Elaine!
This is my "So sad about my extreeeeeeeme new growth that needs bleach & color" look
My cute dove tail neckline
Right side and a bonus cheezy grin (The Hot guy made some pervy comment)

Left side (All windblown)
My most used expression
I was in a super hurry so this is my no time for makeup, makeup (All Evil Shades today)
A quick swish of White Witch super blended from lid to brow, just to get a glowy look.
Then a quickie line of Mystisizm to line the outer 2/3 of lash line and lower lash with Potion from inner corner and just above Mystisizm and on lower lash line and a sweep of Peggy Sage mascara from my sweet Lilynail! (I didn't even have time for primer or foundation)

I think I am in lust with Potion

Did I mention the 4 hours of sleep the night before? I look a hot mess
Evil Shades Midnight Candy (Hardcore) almost totally worn off but still pretty
You can see Potion and Mystisizm better
Joey this one is for you...I shaped my brows via your directions! They look so much better, if I had only had time to fill them in a bit. lol
Me trying to get the camera back from the Hot Guy.
Trying to show the pretty shift in my blush. (Evil Shades Ceylon)
This is how I nap...standing up making a goofy face!

I love my hair and I will try to post a few looks when I have time to do a full face!
Smooches!

Borghese Rapid Dry polish swatches

Borghese sent me a couple of their new Rapido fast dry lacquer to review
First I am sorry about my dry hands/cuticles, I had just removed an evil glitter polish.

Siena- a very pretty bronze with gorgeous shimmer
Do not adjust your monitor, as beautiful as this color is, bronze shades give me lobster skin
I love the shimmer in this, it's multi tones of bronze with green under tones and a flush of siena
Click this one to really see the shimmer
This is 2 coats with no top coat

Next Is Vigneto a beautiful pink toned purple
It looks like a bald patch on my ring finger but it's the lighting, this is very opaque
This is 2 coats with no top coat and you can see the shimmer so well
I can see this will get a lot of use from me...it's so juicy
Both of these have the fabulous borghese brush that I personally love!
It's similar to the OPI brush but not as thick so it fans out perfectly!
Application on both shades was a snap, very smooth and even coverage.
These have a great shine without top coat so if you are in a hurry it's no problem.
Dry time is much faster than the traditional Borghese formula but not so fast as the Sally Hansen super fast so you have time to smooth it on without rushing. It was about a minute to a minute and a half to be dry to the touch and about 8 minutes until fully dry. so I think it's a great hurry up and go polish.

Orly Pinup collection - Bubbly Bombshell

Orly calls Bubbly Bombshell a purple glitter
To me it's more fuschia and so gorgeous!
This is 4 coats (remember glitters require either layering over an opaque or multi layers)
I used 2 coats of seche Vite because glitters are bumpy & I have issues!
I added a cute little water decal skully that Kim (Overall beauty) sent me
If you look you can tell that this is actually 2 colors, a purple and a lighter pink which to me makes it look fuschia.
As much as I hate glitter removal (I can't use the foil method) this color is irresistible!
Try to tell me that this isn't hotness!
The formula is normal for a glitter so go slow when applying because clean up on glitter is not gonna happen
I love this color and if you are a glitter lover you will stare and drool over your nails all day!

25 things to love about me....

I actually have this hanging in my work space and next to my desk
Click to make it giant so you don't hurt your eyeballs!

OPI Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em

Another from the OPI Texas collection
You know I love a jelly...I added OPI Standing room only over my thumb and ring finger
I know this is supposed to be hot pink but on me it's a cool toned red, because I'm special like that!
This is 3 coats with Seche Vite
The formula is a perfect jelly, smooth even coverage, sheer and dries quickly
My final thought....OPI, more jellies Please!

Color Club Wicked Sweet scented Collection- I always Get My Man-Darine

I love fruity scented things but Orange is my enemy color....
unless it is a Color Club neon!
Warm colors look horrid on me...but Color Club is the one company that takes
pity on people like me! They are genius at adding a contrasting shimmer that makes it less
painful to wear these warm sunny shades!
Man-darin is hard to capture in pictures (neon is evil on camera) but it is a
sweet juicy tangerine/Mandarin with a beautiful green shimmer
It smells like fruit loops for the first few hours and then calms down to a soft sweet Mandarin scent
The formula is great, smooth and easy to apply though I will never love the skinny CC brush it is worth
the split second of extra work for the fun and funky shades!
Orange is still not my best color but I dismissed my crazy red fingers for this pretty!

Bare Escentuals Beautifully Bronzed Deluxe Two-Piece Collection on QVC

Thursday April 21 you can grab this up on QVC
I'm loving the brush

Now being the kind of girl who looks out the window and get's 2 shades darker,
(Thanks Mom for those crazy Blackfoot sun absorbing genetics)
I don't use sunless tanners, but being the Mom of 2 very fair skinned little ones and watching my husband having to have "suspisious" spots that turn out to be pre cancerous...I am all for anything that will reduce skin cancer! So skip the tanning bed and put on your sunscreen and use a sunless tanner instead!
*Cough* Talking to all you 20 somthing ladies who think it will never catch up to you! *Cough*

NEW Bare Escentuals Beautifully Bronzed Deluxe Two-Piece Collection
Approximately $46.50

What is it? Say "Aloha" to a healthy, natural-looking tan all year round with the Beautifully Bronzed Collection. Within a few hours of application, skin will glow flawlessly golden and last for five to seven days. Plus, the faux tan contains moisturizing aloe vera and won’t clog pores or irritate sensitive skin. The revolutionary new Deluxe Tan Brush will allow for quick, easy and clean application of Faux Tan.

Why is it different? The Deluxe Faux Tan offers 16-ounces of gorgeous, natural, never-orange tan in a bottle. It can be used all over the body and never looks fake or streaky.

The Deluxe Tan Brush buffs on a streak-free tan without getting any product on hands, it has a unique flared handle designed to be held multiple ways. The brush boasts a super soft, super-sized luxuriously dense brush head for a uniform glow.

How to use?
1. Before applying Faux Tan Sunless Tanner, prep skin first. While showering, exfoliate skin carefully to provide the smoothest surface to glide sunless tanner over.

2. Using the Deluxe Tan Brush, apply Faux Tan Sunless Tanner to dry skin. Use quick strokes to buff all over the body using a cross hatch or circular motion, being sure to smooth away any edges.

3. Because the color is visible during application, don’t worry about any embarrassing goofs like rings around the ankles, elbows and knees. Just be sure to buff more lightly over these crease-prone areas.

Final Tip: Make sure to rinse the brush after each use. This will keep the brush in the best shape for future faux-tanning.

Now go enjoy the beautiful weather....safely!

Playing it by ear

The next few days that is what I will be doing....playing it by ear.
The Hot Guy has been having a lot of difficulty lately!
Phycotic episodes, panic attacks, depression, and paranoia are flying rampant.
So I will post when and if I can but as you know my family comes first
and he needs a lot of extra help right now.

So I thought I would quickly offer some of my favorite informative sites with info on his multiple
health issues....I hope these are helpful as I have discovered that his disorders are much more common than I had known. (Not usually all rolled it one person but hey...nobody is perfect)

Schizophrenia-

Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Panic disorder (panic attacks)

Social Anxiety disorder (social phobia)

Bipolar depression disorder

Diabetes type 2

I also want to say that if you or someone you know is experiencing mental health issues
please reach out for help! Mental health disorders ARE health problems, no less urgent or disabling than any physical health issues and there is no shame in being ill only in being ignorant and insensitive to someones illness! Don't give up....you wouldn't stop cancer treatment would you?!

Systeme 41 Rejuvenating Masque review

I have been using this for a while (any skin product I test long term)
System 41 is a skin care line by Dr. Janet Zand and is 100% natural.
They have a really good guarantee:
Système 41 is 100% guaranteed.
If you don't notice a difference in the way your skin looks and feels, simply return the unused product (even if you're at the bottom of the jar!) for a complete refund.
No questions asked. No time limits. You can return the entire container completely empty at any time and still get 100% of your money back. You risk nothing by trying Système 41.

The ingredients:
(From the website)
Ingredients: aqua (purified de-ionized water), squalane (olive), kaolin (amazon white clay), caprylic/capric triglyceride, glycerin, rosa moschata (rose hip) seed oil, phytosteryl macadamiate, bentonite, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil unsaponifiables, santalum album (sandalwood) wood extract, phellodendron amurense bark extract, hordeum distichon (barley) extract, candelilla/jojoba/rice bran polyglyceryl-3 esters, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, sodium stearoyl lactylate, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, punica granatum (pomegranate) extract, carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, mangifera indica (mango) fruit extract, salix nigra (willow) bark extract, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, alpha glucan oligosaccharide, sodium hyaluronate, biosaccharide gum-1, phyllanthus emblica fruit extract, chitosan, hydrolyzed algin, chlorella vulgaris extract, sea water, jojoba esters, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (vitamin c), citrus extract, menthol, natural fragrance, sodium phytate.

The first time I used it I tried it as a masque which it says to leave on up to 20 minutes.
It smells minty, not overpowering. The texture is like most clay or mud masques, thick and pasty. It works best to rub it in your hands a little before spreading it on your face or it kind of crumbles and falls off.
I made it to 3 minutes and my skin was burning so bad I had to wash it off.
My face was red and fiery for several hours.
If you notice in the ingredient list it contains Tea Tree oil which was to harsh for me to use as a masque.

Since that one time I have been using it as a scrub.
It works wonderfully! It does not dry my skin out or leave it greasy.
After using the Rejuvenating masque as a scrub my face is soft and smooth and feels clean.
I have noticed that my pores appear smaller and I have fewer blackheads.
I will certainly continue using it and see if it completely or at least mostly minimizes my pores.

Pros:
-It is all natural
-Leaves skin soft and smooth
-minimizes pores
-reduces blackheads
-non drying
-not oily

Cons:
-I cannot use it as a masque due to the high content of tea Tree
-The Price $30 + shipping for 2oz. is a bit steep for a scrub/masque for me
-The packaging, I'm not fond of dipping my fingers into a jar of thick paste and having it under my nails. I would prefer a squeeze tube.

Zoya Sunshine & Summertime - Faye

Zoya...you made this one just for me didn't you?
Faye is a beautiful gilded purple with metallic sparks of copper and gold that shifts like crazy
This is 3 coats of nom
The formula is slightly thin but very easy to work with and very forgiving
Faye is a moody girl and she might be leaning toward a multiple personality, judging by her constantly
switching from soft and girly mauvey with copper shimmer to her bold purple base with exploding golden sparkle and then to a brownish shade with purple glint and gold and copper metal sparks.
This is a must have x100....trust me you need it!

Nubar Spring Garden Collection- Blue Hydrangea & Baby Sprout

I'm a day late but this is also my Autism awareness mani for this week
Blue Hydrangea is a soft pastel blue with a very subtle secret silver shimmer
Baby sprout is a super mutes pastel green also with a secret shimmer
In most pictures these will look like plain cremes but if you look closely and most definitely in person
you can see a very subtle silvery shimmer...if you aren't a shimmer person, these are the shimmers you could love!
I just had to do something fun with these so a color alternating freehand frenchy was obviously perfect
These are a bit thick...pastels are always either thick or thin.
I prefer thick as the coverage is better and more controlled application than thin and runny.
Both colors are 2 coats as a base and one on tips
Try not to notice my frenchy flaws...they were too fun for me to mind
Nubar really does some of the best pastels and these are no exception.
Dry time was much faster than I expected and the opacity is pastel perfect!
