Holograms and Flakies

Stupid Blogger ate my stupid post.

I am trying to get back to blogging, I've missed you all. My business (Evil Shades Cosmetics....shameless promotion) has grown a lot in the past year and takes a lot more of my time. That is not a complaint, I love what I do and I am so proud of how far it has come and more than anything I love that my sparklies make other people happy! So I will do my best to post 3 ish times a week but they will not be wordy. lol

Now on to the pretties...

I did a drool worthy mani the other day using Barielle's Elle's Spell, a cheapy black creme with Sally Hansens Prisms in Diamond (Silver holographic hotness) topped with Sancion Angel in Christine. You wanna see?

Oh did I mention I free handed a bit of Diamond on the tips?

Elle's Spell is a gorgeous berried red jelly filled with gold to green flakies

Christine is a sweet sheer purple jelly with green to pink to yellow/gold flakies

P.S. I am keeping the claws much shorter right now due to washing my hands eleventy billion times a day and now everything is dry and le yucks. :o(

Holo + Flakies + Jelly = Do Not Drive or car accidents may happen!

Honk if you love OPI - DS Original

Honk if you love OPI is from the Touring America collection

A gorgeous blackened berry

I free handed some sadly misshapen v french tips and my ring finger with DS Origional

I love blackened shades like this where you can easily in any light tell the color but it's so very deep and vampy still

I used 2 coats of Honk if you <3 OPI and one of DS Original

Vampy and holo is a favorite combo for it they just compliment the best parts of each other

I feel silly saying every single time that the formula is great so with OPI I will just let you know if I ever get one that sucks. (^o^)

Holo franken nails & my bestest Fangirl

I was playing around with frankens the other day and as much as I liked

the base colors they still needed something......glitter? No Holographic glitter, YES!

And wouldn't you know not a bit of sunshine! *sigh*

Oh wait...they match my hair! :o)

The pink shows off her holo a bit more than the teal. (Teal is a little shy)

I will wear them again when we have sunshine so you can see the pretty holo yummies

Then my day turned to exploding tears of joy...

A mysterious package showed up? I am on a mega no buy so I did not order anything, odd.

Open mystery box and a beautiful eruption of colored paper confetti and hidden in the rainbow....

What is that you say? It is the much coveted glass file sword!

I have drooled and ogled this beautiful little thing on nailfile.net (my favorite glass file site)

but I have a serious issue with splurging on things for myself especially if technically I do NEED a new file.

What? Who? *Reads enclosed note* This is followed by ear to ear grin and tears of joy...

My beloved #1 Fangirl Lynn sent this fantabulously thoughtful gift.

Mermaid Toes!

I was feeling a little Mermaidy..with a Little help from

China Glaze Techno Teal & Funky Fingers Bella's Boy

Don't you just love mermaid, holo and glitter all in one pedicure

Plus you get to see my little toezies! *giggle*

I used 2 coats of Techno Teal, 1 coat of  Bella's Boy and topped it with Orly Polisheild.

I love the sparkle and the flash of holo in certain light and it fancies up my cute little Flinstone toes perfectly

OPI Shattered my Holo!

What do you do when you can't decide? I do both!

OPI DS Original with OPI Navy Shatter tips

We had no sun but look how DS Original still rainbows it up in a light box

This is 3 coats of DS Original (It's sheer but worth the little extra)

and 1 coat of Navy Shatter with Seche Vite top coat

OPI you can shatter my holo any day!

I love the holo peeking through the navy blue cracks

Go ahead....drool, I did!

P.S. a little bonus to these Shatters...if you get stuck in a crazy hectic week, no one can tell that you might have a few little chips on your tips! lol

Color Club Wicked Sweet - Temptress

I did a bright fun manicure with Raspberry Rush (Wicked Sweet collection)

and Ultra - Astral (Temptress collection)

This is 3 coats of Raspberry Rush and 2 coats of Ultra- Astral on my ring finger with one coat of Starry Temptress.

Raspberry Rush is a gorgeous almost jelly neon fuchsia

Ultra Astral is Neon fuchsia with holo glitter that unfortunately disappears into the polish on the nail, which is why I used Starry Temptress top coat which is a great clear holo top coat.

I love how this turned out

I am hoping the rest of the Temptress work better.

Raspberry Rush smell yummy but not overpowering.

OPI Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em

Another from the OPI Texas collection

You know I love a jelly...I added OPI Standing room only over my thumb and ring finger

I know this is supposed to be hot pink but on me it's a cool toned red, because I'm special like that!

This is 3 coats with Seche Vite

The formula is a perfect jelly, smooth even coverage, sheer and dries quickly

My final thought....OPI, more jellies Please!

Nubar Spring Garden Collection- Honeysuckle Hotness

Nubars Spring Garden Collection is Hot Hot Hot

I immediately went for Honeysuckle because it is bright pinky and well do you know me?!

This is 2 coats of Honeysuckle with a thin coat of Top Beauty 3D Fireworks on my middle finger

(the 3D is from my beloved Sarah of Them Pretty colors)

This is in indirect light which softens it a bit

There was no sun to capture the awesome holo micro glitter in Fireworks :o(

I can assure you this color will be used a lot

The formula is a little thick but I added a few drops of thinner and it was perfect.

(Highly pigmented shades tend to goop up quickly due to the particle size of the mica)

Now if this doesn't scream spring at the top of it's lungs...nothing does!

The Hot Guy picked my manicure

the Hot guy went with me to sally when I wanted to scope out

the Tronica's and he insisted that along with Techno Teal I get finger Paints Carnation Creation because it matches my hair and it has a ring that as he put it is " Effin' sweet" so how could I say no.

I layered Techno Teal over CC

Carnation Creation is a beautiful Teal creme but it's application was horrible!

Goopy, streaky, thick and uneven and that was after adding thinner.

Techno Teal is a lovely sparse holo, a bit sheer but layering works wonders

I only wish the sun had made an appearance so you could see the holo

It is sparse but still very pretty

I love both of these colors and TT is just as pretty when the holo is hiding

China Glaze Tronica- Gamer Glam & Hyper Haute

At first I wasn't going to get any of the Tronica collection but I decided

to see them in person before making up my mind.

The Tronica's are not nearly as holo or the type of holo as the OMG's or even Kaleidoscope but I decided that if I liked them in the store without the holo effect then I would get a couple....I ended up getting 4

Gamer Glam is more holo than Hyper Haute but I like the holo because it looks to be a silver and pink holo in the purple base which makes it worth owning for me at least.

These are very sheer and require 4 coats or layering over an opaque color.

Oh the little knife? I just pulled that out of my back and found it to look quite cute on my nails

I like these holo or not so I'm happy that I gave them a chance

All in all I like these and I will wear the colors that I bought

Do I recommend running out and grabbing them up? Only if you missed the OMG's and or Kaleidoscope collections, otherwise I suggest seeing them in person to decide if you love them or not.

P.S. To those who stuck that little knife in my back....jokes on you.....I like shiny pointy things!
