Hello from Kitty

My beautiful Swedish Sister from another Mother Feline sent me a goody package....
(I know you read her blog & if not you are missing out huge, see it here )
(Silver Kitty & Kitty Princess)
Feline feeds my poor little girl who could buy Hello Kitty goodies and so now as an Adult must have ALL Sanrio pretties!
I went a little FUNky on this one because it was for my middle daughters birthday and well she's ummmm...rather blingtastic. lol
I did 2 coats of Kitty Princess, 2 coats of Silver Kitty on my ring finger then tipped them in the opposite.
I used a mini straw dipped in silver kitty for the "rings" and the tip of the brush to dot my ring finger.
Kitty Princess is so sweet, it is a perfect baby pink creme with heavy metallic silver flecks
My little Rane loved it and I ended up doing her toes to match my nails

Stay tuned for a ton more Hello Kitty polish and some gorgeous Swedish polish too!
Giant hugs and smooches to my beautiful Feline, you spoil me so!

China Glaze Metallic Crackle Glaze Skittles

I thought crackle skittles would be fun on my new mini nails
The China Glaze Metallic Crackles are such fun colors
Right to left, top to bottom: Latticed Lilac, Haute Metal (My favorite), Cracked medallion, Platinum Pieces and Tarnished gold
Tarnished gold up close
I did this a little thicker to get wider cracks
These give a lighter application so you can do a subtle crackle finish or apply thicker for serious crackle
I really like these, they are more versatile than most crackles since they are sheer if you apply lightly.
I did Haute Metal over a baby pink on my youngest and it gave a nice subtle crackle...of coarse she then picked at it until I couldn't get a picture. (She's 3 so not the best model choice)

Overall, Application is very nice, dry time is excellent and formula is awesome.
The crackle trend is being beaten to death but if you haven't tried any I think the metallics are my top pick!

OPI DS Radiance & DS Magic

OPI DS Radiance is a metallic silver foil
that almost perfectly matches the silver DS caps.

This is 2 thin coats with no top coat

Application was excellent, not runny but not thick. Very even and no streaks or drag.

I can't stop looking at my "aluminum foil" nails!

DS Magic is just as the name suggest,
a magical blue metallic with pink metallic shimmer that gives a subtle purple shift.

This is 2 coats with one coat of Seche Vite

Application is very opaque almost a one coat color but 2 is perfection.
The formula is thin but not runny and applies very evenly.

Do you have a favorite of the new DS' ?

I'm Baty for Jitterbug! China Glaze Vintage Vixen preview

I will be swatching the Vintage Vixen collection soon.
I just really feel that they need proper sunlight so I hope for good sunlight tomorrow.

Today I just could not resist Jitterbug.
A dark Gunmetal foil.

This is 2 coats taken in my lightbox.

I have been a little Baty the past few days so I thought my nails should reflect it.
I used BM plate 13 and Wet n Wild black creme.

Aren't they cute!

I love this image stamp. I just need a little foggy moon image to complete the look.

Piggy Polish review and swatches

First I have to say that I've seen swatches of Piggy Polish a few times
but when I opened the box and saw the colors in real life I was/am WOW'd!!
I was sent these 6 colors:

Frosty- a Silvery white metallic
This is Two coats and it is slightly sheer but I don't think I'd like it as much opaque.
Slightly streaky as is with all metallics but very nice application and not hard to work with.
Wild Side- Purple with pink undertones nearly duochrome.
Love this color. It is deeper in person and just flowed right on like magic.
Pink-ing of you- Glass flecked hot pink jelly with silvery pink metallic glitter.
This is a must have color in my opinion. It is perfect for tips or toes and so fun for Summer.
Polar Sea Ice- Medium teal creme with silver glitter.
This is two very thin coats, one thicker coat would work great as well.
A great sparkling twist on the sassy summer teal.

Can you feel the love!
Marmaid- Sheer green opal shimmer. This is mermaid scales in a bottle!
I adore this color. This is 2 coats alone but I know this will be an amazing layering polish as well.
I will be wearing this alone and layered a LOT!
World Peach-Stunning Peach/Pink/Gold duochrome sheer shimmer.
This is two thin coats and trust me once you have this on you will not care if there is a little vnl.
This color is so gorgeous, it's hard to take your eyes off. It reminds me of a sunset.
Another that will be a fabulous layering polish as well as stand alone.

All in all the Piggy Polish shades that I recieved:
-The bottles are adorable
-The formula on all of them is fantastic
-The colors are unique and very fun
-The brush is very nice, fans well not too wide or stiff...just right.
I will be buying more!

Do you own any Piggy Polish? What are your favorite colors?

GOSH you are Holographic

I recieved a lovely package from my friend Rijah
in it was this sweet little jewel

How gorgeous!
2 coats (thanks to Musicalhouses or it might have been a major mess)
No top coat all pictures taken in my lightbox

This one is a little tricky on application: each time the brush passes over wet polish it drags evey drop of color with it. I was lucky and Musicalhouses was on Twitter to save me.
I very carefully did one thin coat first and let it dry completely, which does not take long. Then a second very thin coat and it's perfect.
I found it interesting that as this dries it goes matte for a bit and then back to shiny when totally dry.
This is as beautiful as I'd hoped! I love it so much!
Thank you so very much RijaH you are the Bees Knees!

So what are your favorite GOSH? or your favorite holo's?

How to not be selected for Jury duty 101

My mission to not get picked for jury duty was a total success!
So I thought I would lend my tips to my other civic duty shirkers!

First consider where you live and what "type" of community it is.
Mine is Super conservative, rich, republican, stick up the but hard core Southern Christian extreemists.
So yes this was not too hard for me. :)

First I consulted the top minds in the Nail world...MUA Nail board, to determine a perfect don't pick me manicure. Most felt that bright, tacky and bling would do the trick. I added my own twist.
I used a base of Golden Rose Paris Holographic #102
Middle finger I did a base of Bloom Mena (Thank you sooooo much Jacie)

Then I stamped some random and lovely blood spatters using Konad special polish red and my Hot topic fauxnad image plate. Restamping the small splats randomly.

Is there anything prettier than blood splater on holo?

On my middle finger I added a coat of my beloved Wixbetty franken Sexy Scarlet Stilettos.

I am in love with this manicure!

Next Make sure that your youngest child is sick and keeps you up until after 4am.
If you don't have a small child I am happy to loan one.
Oh and you must have an Earthquake an hour after the screaming child allows you to sleep.
(Don't worry my summers in LA had me having flashbacks and I ran straight for my nail polish closet)
No worries it was only a tiny 3.3 right under my town. Go figure I would find the one place in the mountains of TN that has friggin' Earthquakes.

You want your eyes nice and red

add puffy and huge dark circles.

Now you'll want to dress for the occasion. Unfortunatly they send rules so this was not fun enough to take pictures. I just wore my studded ballet flats, black capri's(with my studded belt) and my black studded top.

Makeup is very important, you want to make a frightening good first impression.
Go for bright bold colors that can be spotted from a good distance. Go extra heavy on that smokey eye or the eyeliner whichever makes you feel pretty.

I used ES Neritic (which is a peachy pink, stuip colorblind camera) and Glooming for the outer v and upper lash liner, my camera did not pick up the awesome aqua sparklies that rock like nobodies business. Mind you I was comatose when I applied so pardon my craptastic application. Phyrra look away hun, I don't want to traumatize you.

And if you are working on two hours of sleep you might luck out like I did and have absolutly no symetry at all. I'm just good like that! I think I was asleep when I blended and we are not commenting on the brows. umkay!

Final touch, you must wear pigtails so that you brand new 3 gray hairs show as well as the 6 inch wide section in the back of hot pink. Not to mention that at 36 years old it makes you look like you are confused about your own age. :) (Damn it I love my piggy tails and Chris says they are handy cute.)
Remember to accesorize with your dog collar choker and handcuff earings.

And when they call you yawn as you are walking to the interrogation chair.
Plop down your giant studded Demonia purse that weighs more than your youngest child.

While the Judge and attorneys are consulting glop on more lip gloss.
(ES Primrose path lippie and a tiny dab of Lillian's light gloss)

Then you might notice the two attorneys looking oddly at you and making head motions.
Then the clerk comes and says that you are excused!
What no questions? I was prepared for questions damn it!

Do your best innocent face as you skip to your car!
(P.S. don't mind my fancy robe, I immediately put on my jammies when I got home)
Well my Lovies there you have it. I do hope this helps you out in your time of need.
