8 fabulous pastels, who could ask for more?
I love Nubar and this collection quenches my love of pastels!
Sold here for $49.95 for the entire collection or $7.49 for single bottles
Even the case is adorable!
All swatches are in natural light with no base or top coat.
You will notice in these pictures that my summer coloring is coming out.
My winter cool toned fair skin has been taken over by my Blackfoot heritage and the dirty, dark red has come through. The red and darkness will only get more so through the summer. (I do not spend much time out in the sun, nore do I lay out or try to tan) So if you are a red skinned person these swatches will be perfectly accurate for you. I know it is hard to find swatches for us Native skinned girls so I do hope these are helpful!
Oh Baby Pink! A sweet cottoncandy pink!
This one was a little thick and I did not have my thinner with me, but I'm sure it was due to the heat.
2 coats, no streaks.
Baby pink is the softest pale hint of pink.
Pink creme is perfectly bubblegum pink pastel.
This one was very nearly a one coater.
Orange creme, well the name says it all! Dreamcicle!
2 coats to creamy perfection!
Baby Blue is such a gorgeous pastel blue. Not so pale that it looks white, it is obviously blue in all light.
2 coats, beautiful application. Love!
Green Tea is an earthy sweet green like dried tea leaves.
I did not think I would like this color, then I put it on and oh yes it is beautiful!
This is one moderat coat and it needed nothing more.
Lemon Sorbet is a dreamy, delicious creamy pastel yellow.
This is honestly the best pastel application I've experianced!
2 thin coats and not a flaw!
Lavander is a stunning cool pastel lavander.
I adore this color, it is perfection in a bottle and was made for me!
2 coats though had my hand been steadier one would have done nicely.
This collection overall is stunning, fun and really has a nice variety. everyone can find their "color" in this collection. The formula is Nubar's normal awesomeness and I love Nubar's bottle design, it is perfect for a comfortable hold. I looked through my collection and found no dupes so if there are any similar shades I'm happy to compare them for you if I have them.
You can find this collection at ByNubar

ReplyDeleteI love the green pastel. I've seen sooo many pastel mints, this one looks unique to me!
ReplyDeleteWow, those look great! I never cared much for pastels but they seem to grow on me.. I really like green tea, it's a bit of a weirdo in the bunch I think (since it's not what I would call pure pastel) but after seeing your pic of it I need this one.. Thanks for creating a new lemming ;)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection. I like Green Tea the best. *sigh* If only money grew on trees...
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty! But pastels seem to hit the spot ;D
ReplyDeleteI love those pastels. They all look so yummy on you. I get the feeling you don't like the red in your skin. I thought you were proud of your Blackfoot heritage. You should embrace your wonderful coloring and love yourself. I love you as do many others. I have many of those pastels. My favorite is the Green Tea. I love the cases also but I don't know what I can use them for. I hate when I have to recycle them. I wish there was something I could use it for. I hope someone has an idea. Maybe you do! (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteI love my heritage but my skintone is just odd. I don't hate it but it's hard to match for cosmetics and such.
ReplyDeleteI have figured out a few uses for the cute Nubar collection cases:
CD/DVD carrier
Beach purse
I also use them to store my thank you cards and post it note packs. They fit perfectly at the back of my file cabinet.
Pastels really do hit the spot!
ReplyDeleteIf you find a tree that does grow money send me a few seeds!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would like that one!
ReplyDeleteI was excited that they weren't the super pale nearly white pastels.
ReplyDeleteOrange creme would look great on you!
