All the Beautiful people

Mad, sad and buying a hat

If you saw my post yesterday you know I was going for a haircut....
I did everything right, I researched, found reviews, checked education, portfolios etc.
I went today with this picture
I (having a background in cosmetology) explained in detail what I wanted.
I have never ever cried over a hair situation in my life, until today!
There are no pictures and there will never be any....it's that bad.
I haz a major sad
I wonder if they have this in my size?!

I have an appointment tomorow with a "fix" specialist and I will probably end up this uber
short hair and look like a fuzzy bowling ball for the next 6 months.
So get ready for eye closeups and not a thing more.
I feel your pain kitty!

  1. I'm so sorry! I've had a couple really bad hair cuts and it sucks so bad. My hair is something that I am very hesitant to change because of the times it has been ruined.. I hope you can find some solution for your hair.

  2. Oh no dear!!! That's terrible D:
There's nothing like when your hair gets messed up even after you've explained in intricate detail what exactly you wanted. BIG HUG. I hope you can salvage the situation and you won't need a hat!!!

I recall the terrible haircuts I was subjected to as a child.  :'(  I remember hiding under the end table in the living room. I can imagine your pain.

You are a beautiful, sassy woman. I believe your hair will grow back faster in defiance.  :*

  8. It can't be that bad! I hope not.
I also remember going for a hair cut trying to explain what I want, and getting something totally different  :'( , good thing hair grows fast :) .
I think the kitty pics are the cutest though! ;)

  9. Oh no.  I'm so sorry some bitch messed your locks.
I'm too scared to change mine for your same reason so it just grows longer and gets more boring every year.

  10. oh noooo :( sending tons of hugs Andrea! even though right now they won't do any good to your hair, and believe me I've been there, last time I went ti get a haircut I went out of the salon with a horrible bowl cut. everyone foud it hilarious except me of course (((hugs)))

  11. Andrea, Please give your hair a couple of weeks to settle in to the new cut before you do anything drastic!!!

Although I'm not a pro, I've had my share of WTH did I do, this is the worst hairstyle, I'm going to have to wear a hat cut many many many times.
Your hair needs to acclimate. I bet all you need is to find/play around with different products, styling techniques and tools to get an acceptable look. Really!

  12. Hun that sucks, i've been there done that a few times, hair disasters were my thing! Just remember it will grow back! and you're gorgeous no matter what! Good luck with your fixer and as long as she can do something you can live with for a month you'll be fine.

  14. That's just terrible, I hope they can fix it and that you'll be able to do something nice with your hair very soon. I know exactly how you feel, it happened to me more then once and I hate going to the hairsalon.
Not to feast on your misery; but I am very curious how it will look after getting your hair fixed today. Maybe it isn't all that bad?

  15. Oh no!I do have to admit I had to laugh a little because of the contrast between yesterday's post and today's: the same picture of a haircut, but before and after the disaster..
I think most of us have been there! I remember after pregnancy I wanted something new, so I went for a Victoria Beckham bob. I just didn't look like Victoria, but like some old lady with a boring bob. I also had "goldfish blonde" hair, and black hair with red roots. Hang in there, I hope they can fix it, and it will grow back soon! Big hugg!x

  16. Don't worry honey, it will be ok. You know hair grow and that's, probably, the most comforting thing we're sure of. But I know what it feels like too, I do feel your pain too. It happened to me both with haircut and hair dye. Hope the fix zpecialist does a better job. Even if it is the same hair you had before, I guess it won't be that bad just as a temporary sollution ;)  *hugs*

  17. Aww :/ Too bad. Luckily it will grow back in a couple of weeks! Try to find the best in it!  ;)

  22. I am soo sorry. I think almost everyone has had a bad haircut at some point. Happy thoughts are being passed your way. Just remember, scalp messages help increase blood flow to the cutical and in turn increase growth. xoxo

  30. :(   Sorry to hear you got a bad haircut.  I know that pain all to well.  My mom took me to Cost Cutters when I was a kid for a "back to school" haircut.  I walked out of there with something between a mullet and the shag haircut that Florence Henderson wore on the Brady Bunch.  I hope the haircut is somewhat fixable.

  31. Ugh.  I here your pain!  This happened to me recently and I walked out with hair 1 1/4 inch long.  I don't usually get upset about hair, but I did this time.  I hope the "fixer-upper" stylist can be of some help!

  32. Lovie, I know it will be okay. If its any consolation, the cut you wanted to get is hawt! Just remember dear, hair grows back and you'll appreciate it even more than you already do when its back to where you can either try that cut again or go for something new. i'd give you some of mine, but well, life just doesn't work that way.

<3 and good thoughts, hun! good luck with the fixer upper!

  33. OMG I'm so sorry they messed it up! The cut you chose was hot. I'm so so sorry they effed it up.

  34. Ohhh, it's stories like these that make me so nervous about getting my hair cut. I'm in desperate need of a new cut and I have my wedding coming up and I'm sooooo scared to get it done in case it turns out horrible. I've had so much bad luck with hair dressers too. That sucks balls that she messed it up so bad. Hopefully the grow-out time won't drag on too long.

  36. I have mailed you out a simpathy package today with some halloween goodies inside via priority mail. I hope it helps the hurt. If I could just send you a 10lb. chocolate bunny and a hug I would. If you didn't have some manic panic color added you should. Some bright color might just cheer you up.

  38. Oh no! I was so looking forward to seeing your gorgeous new haircut.  It's so tough to get exactly what you want.  Your hair texture, whirls and curls really change things.  If you get someone who doesn't know how to handle your type of hair than there's trouble.  Some just lie and say they know how to do that haircut.  I pray it can be fixed to something you love.  Like others have said hair does grow back.  You do have fast growing hair and nails.  You'll find a good hairstyle.

  39. aww. is there nothing you can do about it. if it was that bad you should ask for a refund. you didn't pay for it did you? i hope the fix specialist will fix it. xoxo

  41. Sorry about the bad haircut.  Back in college I wanted a bob...horrible horrible.  She cut it like a bowl--and it was un-even!  I refused to pay.  Demanded that the senior stylist fix it the next day.  All she could offer was a pixie!!! I left with a pixie.   Took a good year to grow it out.  I feel your pain.

  42. Been there before, so I sure know how it feels. I hope the fixer fixed it. Big hug from me!

  43. Get a Cloche style hat....they are so cute. The walmart here has some for $10, and I'm trying to convince myself to stop being cheap and getting one...because they're actually pretty nice for $10....better than some of the ones I've seen for closer to $50.

  44. I went there once and had the same.  Thing...how can we put so much research and thought into the right hair cut and have it come out so wrong?  Me and my hair specialist researched it down to the right picture to match my hair texture and natural curl factor...we considered my face shape...everything was looked at with nothing to chance.  It. Was. Awful!

    I'm so sorry that happened to you.  I'm always grateful that hair grows out but it still sucks while we wait it out.  {{{{HUGS}}}}
