All the Beautiful people

A little story

The color of Essence Pool Party reminds me of painted Tipi's.
Every painting tells a story. So I played with my nail art paints and painted a little story on my nails using Blackfoot symbols. I'll tell you the story then explain the symbols.
The cold clouds of winter have blown away. Sun has come back to warm the waters.

The white circles are the symbol for clouds. The diagonal stripes represent wind. Obviously the yellow circle is Sun, with the lines coming down from it means spring/summer or warmed by the sun. The blue wavy lines are water.  The Piece of turquoise In the above picture is a piece of raw turquoise from home.

My sweet turtle necklace, it makes me think of summer too!

What makes you think of warm summer days?

Watermelon, flip flops (even though I hate them), and bright colors make me think of summer! :)

  4. Cool idea! Your turtle is cute. We had a couple of pet turtles as a kid. We named them Donatello and Michaelangelo (after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) My siblings and I spent a lot of summer nights digging for worms or catching grasshoppers to feed them.

  6. Such a cool mani, especially because there is a story with it. What a lovely positive story! It's perfect for now and the coming months. It's funny, I was at the store yesterday and was looking at the Essence nail polishes. I saw this same blue colour you have on here. I didn't get it but I'm having a re-think now seeing it on your nails! :D Oh, warm summer days? Ice-cream in a cone!

  19. What a wonderful way to tell a story! I was so excited to see this. Interesting how those symbols are used by everyone. How many more things are used in everyday life that are from Native Americans? Very interesting and I'm so thrilled that you did this. Thank you for sharing this. :-D

  20. Awesome mani!

What makes me think of warm summer days?
    The smell of manure. Yep!
I live in farm country, and I *know* without a doubt that I can safely pack up all my winter items when I open the door and smell it.
