Barielle Holiday Hustle Swatches Winter 2010

Iwas sent the Barielle Holday Hustle collection....I love it!
Barielle has a great way of avoiding the typical so again they make me so very happy!

All swatches are 2 coats no top coat, in lightbox lighting.
Gelt me to the Party is an antiqued Copper/bronze/gold
I really wish this looked better on me because I love the color a lot!

Coalest day of the year is a dark gray almost black with pearl shimmer!
I think this color is beautiful.

Jess' Champagne Toast is a metallic lilac/violet with pink micro glitter
You all know I love a contrasting glitter/shimmer and this one grabbed me immediately!

Barielle calls Snow Day metallic with silver undertones.
On me it looks like a slightly blued metallic green with silver hues. Now we all know that colors can sometimes catch the skin tones and look a bit different on different people.

Wrap me in ribbon is a metallic raspberry and a surprize love.
I am shocked but I really love this color.

Elle's Spell.....drooooool.....stare......drool
As you can tell I swatched this a week ago, when I lost my claws, to cheer me up and it worked so well that I wore it for 3 days. (That says a lot)  Elle's Spell is a beautiful red jelly with opal flakies that shift from firey orange, gold to green and occasional blue flash.

I will leave you to drool!

Barielle Shades Ulta Exclusives Swatches Part 1 of 3

I was send the entire Barille Shades Ulta Exclusive collection to swatch and
share with you and well that is a lot of swatching so I will do this in 3 parts so as not to overwhelm.
Barielle nail polish is available now at Ulta for $6.00 each
Barielle shades are certainly a brand I respect for their unique shades and abillity to step
outside the standard pink and red box. You will notice that some shades are "reintroduced" from other collections so my guess is that these will be exclusive to Ulta.
(In direct sun)
Belly Dance- a soft nude with silver shimmer
(I shade)
This is 2 coats and very opaque

(In full sun)
Slate of Affairs is a grayed blue with teal shimmer and I adore this color!

Coco Bar looks like, well coco creme.
(shade)
This is 2 coats and very smooth.

As with all of my experience, so far, with Barielle the formulas are very well pigmented, smooth and apply beautifully. All pictures are 2 coats with no top coat.

Part 2 coming soon!

Shades by Bareille Summer 2010 High Steppin' Swatches

The Summer 2010 High Steppin' collection Shades by Barielle
6 Groovy Metallic hues designed by celebrity manicurist Elle

Electric Boogie is a beautiful cobalt blue with scattered multi colored glitter.
This is one coat and for those who fear the glitter, it removes very easily with no staining.
The name is perfect! I do not own another color like this, it's a must have!

Slow Motion is a pinkish lilac frosty Metallic.
This is 2 coats a still slightly sheer but very smooth application and not brushstrokey as I had thought.
It's a very pretty soft metallic with an almost pearl affect.

Freestyle is a fabulously unique light crisp green metallic with scattered silver glitter.
This is two very thin coats, no brush strokes and perfect application.
This is a fun and unique shade, love it!

Passion Pirouette is a stunning medium plumy purple metallic with a silver veining.
This is 1 thin coat and it was so perfect and opaque that I saw no reason to bother with it.
This is just gorgeous! If you are a purple lover, you NEED this color!

Night Moves is a sparkley silver metallic.
This is 2 coats and no top coat as I like the finish as it is. It's somewhat foilish and so sparkly.
Not overly unique but the formula is much better than similar colors I have.
No cuticle drag or bald spots, very nice even coverage.

Belly Dance is a soft taupe with beautiful silver shimmer.
I admit that I was sure I'd hate this one. I don't like nudes, neutrals or taupe. I really like this color, maybe it's that lovely shimmer or the buttery formula I can't say. It does look a bit more nude on me than it does taupe but my complection is a bit darker and rather unusual.

All in all this is one of the most unique collections of the summer and Barielle did a gran job of handing us something to stir things up. Love it!

Prissy Pirates

This manicure was for my personal entertainment.
I started with 2 coats of Barielle Shdes Blossom, a beautiful color that does not love my skin tone.
I am really loving the Barielle Shades, all that I have tried thus far have a very nice formula, are well pigmented and very unique colors.
I then realized that this color didn't love my crazy Native American/Nordic complection so I thought I'll add polk a dots to detract from the undertones a bit. Yeah didn't help much.
So then looking and my prissy polk a dotted mani I thought
this reminds me of a prissy, fancy party dress. Well what goes best with Prissy, fancy party dresses?
Pirates, duh! lol
(yeah see this is why no one tries to poke about inside my mind)

Can't you just picture the Pirates sipping tea at a fancy ladies afternoon party?

......Crickets chirp....OK so I'm the only one who puts these two worlds together?

Well maybe my view is slightly unusual

I am not crazy....I can hear you thinking it

OK well maybe I am just a teeny tiny bit on the crazy side....

But I have a Prissy Pirate Party on my nails so :oP******

Strange things make me happy, Pirates in fancy party dresses is definitly up toward the top of that list!

Little June Bug how very much I adore you

My very first Barielle Shades....June Bug!
I have used Barieele treatments for a long time and love them so it's about time I tried some Barielle Shades.
I am not a glitter girl...honestly I don't wear glitter polish because even with the foil method removal is painful and so I just can't enjoy the polish. June Bug is perfect for us non glitter girls, it's a medium urban gray with beautiful aqua shimmer and scattered hot pink glitter. The glitter is sparse enough that from a distance you can't see it at all but I get to adore my secret little sparklies. I am so in love with this polish...it is so very me!
This is 2 very thin coats of June Bug and one coat of Seche Vite

I love the hot pink speckled look of this

You NEED to click and make these pictures bigger to see the shimmers and glitter

I could look at this allllllll day!

Yeah there is six billion pictures

I wish the actual June Bug bugs looked like this

Shimmer and glitter up close and prettyful

OK I'll stop now but only so that I can go drool over my nails.
